About Cricket Club Zwolle
Back at the crease in Zwolle since 2020
Cricket Club Zwolle has been around for longer, but in 2020 a handful of enthusiasts picked up the bat again. With one aim: to give cricket a home in Zwolle once more.
That new innings is going well. Experienced cricketers play alongside people who have just hit their first ball, and everyone learns from each other.
Our home ground is sportpark De Verbinding in Stadshagen. It is where we train, play our home matches and celebrate every good catch.
The scorecard so far: two teams in the KNCB league, with our first team in the third division and our second in the fourth next season. And we are nowhere near all out.
From a handful of enthusiasts to two league teams in just a few years.
What Cricket Club Zwolle stands for
Our starting point is simple: anyone in Zwolle should be able to play cricket. Whether you grew up with the game or are discovering it here, you are welcome.
This is a club run by its members. Everything depends on volunteers: members coach, set up the ground and organise match days. That is why the club belongs to all of us.
We also want to keep improving. With two teams in the KNCB league there is room for players who want to compete hard and for those who mainly play for fun.
What makes the club special is the atmosphere. Our members come from many different backgrounds, share the field and stay on long after the match. On the pitch we all speak one language: cricket.
Come and train with us
Every Friday from 18:00 to 20:00 at sportpark De Verbinding, from May to the end of August.
